We did a field trip in November to the Pamunkey Indian Reservation. I had so many people RSVP for this event that I had to finally cut off the list and not accept any more for the trip. We arrived at the reservation, were given a tour of the old school house, the pottery shop, which is still used, the museum, and then we were given the meeting room for an indoor picnic lunch (as it was raining outside), and for each of the children to make their own clay pottery objects before going home. It was a very successful trip and one I felt very good about when leaving.
