The kids and I just got back this weekend frommour yearly trip to Fairy Stone State Park with Mom and John. It was the park's 75th anniversary, and we had a great time!! We did a couple new things this year, which I think spiced the trip up some. We went to the Virginia Animal Safari Park for one day and that was great! We played in the cabin and did crafts in the mornings and went to the beach in the afternoons. We also went to the Virginia Museum of Natural History one day, and the kids loved it!! It was their first time seeing a dinosaur skeleton.
The anniversary celebration was fun too! They had invited me for a book signing, and it was fun talking to people who remembered the park 20, 30...50 years ago.
Overall, it was a great trip!!
