This Christmas was very busy, and great!!! The kids and I have commented several times that we are very sad it is over and we have to wait for another whole year. Brianne and I were especially sad when we saw the Christmas tree gone.
For Christmas Eve we started the day by going to my Dad's to spend the afternoon with them. That night, on the way back, Brianne was sick, and we were supposed to go to Tara's for the evening. Bryan went over with the two older boys, while I stayed home with Brianne and Alexander. He said they had a wonderful time over there. Before they went, we all opened one gift, our family tradition. Every year Bryan buys each of us a Hallmark Christmas ornament, a tradition carried over from my father doing that for my mother, and on Christmas Eve we each get to open our ornaments. The next morning, of course Santa had come. The kids all got bikes from Santa this year. We looked at what Santa had brought, had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then went in for our family gift exchange. William loved his perler beads and new Legos. Bryson loved his new Tag books, a Nerf tag game. Brianne loved her digital camera and first American Girl, Kirsten. It has been sitting in my closet for the past year. I am very happy with how much she fell in love with it, and I am also falling in love with it as well. I've been looking at Kirsten's dresses on ebay all weekend. Bryan gave me a Bosch, so I stop killing the motor in my Kitchen Aid and I gave him two flights on a local plane, to go up and see the scenery in our area.
Christmas afternoon, my Mom and John came over, followed by Tara and family and my grandmother and Amy. We all had Christmas dinner together and then exchanged gifts. The evening gift giving was a little more hectic, but again everyone enjoyed themselves.
It truly was a wonderful Christmas!!!

Better late than never. I don't see the blogs very often so this is the first time I've looked in awhile. Looks like it was an enjoyable Christmas. \Everyone is growing up so much...especially Alexander. He was just tiny last we were there. I'd love it if you were to get Skype and we could contact one another more often. Ian said he mentioned it to Bryan. Talk to Tara and Josh, see if you can set it up.All our love....
