We have talked for years about getting chickens for eggs. Every year they just get pushed further down on the "to do" list. Well, last weekend, Bryan just said, "Okay, order the chicks tomorrow." So, we got 20 chicks and the cousins got 5 chicks for their family. We got a mixture of Rhode Island Reds and White Plymouth Rocks. They are both dual purpose brown egg layers.
At the moment they are under a heat lamp in my converted mudroom shower. :)
