On Thursday the kids and I met Bryan after work and went strawberry picking in Surry. It's a great trip because we get to go across the ferry, which the kids love. Then, they can eat all of the strawberries they want while picking. The berries were not very good this year, but we got enough to make strawberry jam and freeze some for the rest of the year.

We also pickied this week, but in suffolk. There were a lot berries in the field, but they were all tart. Not the best to eat fresh. They did, however, make great jam. Would they be sweeter later in the season?
