Our most amazing find were the hermit crabs in the small tidal pool on the sound side beach. There must have been over 100 of them. The kids and I loved catching them and watching them crawl.

Ocracoke was the best weekend trip. I had planned it a few months ago. Bryan was unable to go, having to plant grass at the rental property. Mom came with me and we all had a wonderful time. We played at the sound and ocean beaches, got ice cream, went to the lighthouse, a Blackbeard museum, and pizza for dinner our last night. None of us wanted to come home yesterday.
